If you want to be a better than average guitar player or virtuoso then you must study classical pieces. Just knowing parts of classical pieces will develop and refine your skill and technique like nothing else will. It will give you lighting speed and a superior command of the fretboard. If you want all of this and more and to be able to play like Chris Impelliteri or Yngwie Malmsteen then these books will get you there. Study these books very carefully and be patient and you will get there.

I've been playing guitar for the better part of fifteen years,
and I've seen a lot of tabs, these books are by far the best.
If you learn all of the excerpts offered in any one of these
books you will sound like malmsteen. No other book will offer
you that. Definately a great buy.

Wow! What a great book/cd set. I am NOT a
shred-head guitarist and am thankful that the
author includes audio examples where it sounds like
he's playing an ES-175 through a nice clean amp.
He goes from heavily distorted examples to very clean ones.
Excellent. And his playing is spot on with the music.
The examples are short - maybe too short for some, but
I like them because I can use them as riffs in my own
playing (secretly sneaking in a Bach or Mozart lick is
cool while you solo). I give this book/cd set 5 stars -
definitely worth it and definitely worth the price -
what are you waiting for? Make your technique better
and get this product!

Very good place to start to learn classical pieces
for electric and acoustic guitar.
Learning even parts of classical
pieces will develop and refine your
skill and technique better than anything else will.
You will learn excerpts from some of the most guitar
friendly classical pieces which I promise will take your
guitar playing and technique to a much higher level
than you ever thought possible. This book includes
the complete versions of both caprice #5 and also the
16th caprice by Nicolo Paganini which sound awesome on guitar.
Combining this book with Speed Lead by Troy Stetina will make
an almost unbeatable combination. Once you learn this material,
anything else you learn after will probably be easy. Also,
it’s a lot of fun to play once you master the pieces and will
sound awesome on both electric and acoustic guitar.
